How Long Does a Kitchen Remodel Take?

When our New Life Bath & Kitchen crews complete a kitchen remodel, we stay on the job all day everyday, Monday through Friday, until the job is complete. When it comes to remodeling a home, the quicker the remodel the better. No one wants to be out of their kitchen for months on end. A few weeks is long enough. New Life can complete small kitchen remodels within two weeks and extremely large kitchens with six to eight weeks.

New Life finished a kitchen remodel in Santa Maria a couple weeks ago, where we removed a wall separating the kitchen and the den, changed and relocated windows, and installed new wood flooring throughout the entire house. This kitchen went from cramped and dull to spacious and gorgeous!

When choosing a kitchen remodeling contractor, it is extremely important to discuss the time frame of the job. How long will it take for the job to be completely done? Can we start right away or do we have to wait for items to be ordered?

At New Life Bath & Kitchen we order our cabinets from out of state which takes four to five weeks to be delivered. We won’t start any job until all the materials have arrived and the job is set on a promising schedule.

What separates New Life from most local contractors is the fact that we don’t subcontract our work. Most remodels are prolonged because they are at the mercy of the subcontractors. Many subs are completing multiple jobs at once which sometimes makes scheduling difficult. Just make sure you know who you are working with and can manage your kitchen remodel to the fullest.
