Our Team
Charles Winkles - President
Chuck Winkles grew up in Southern California where he met his wife Shelley. The two have been married for thirty-one years and have lived on the Central Coast for thirty years. They have two sons, Nathan and Noah; Noah is currently managing the second business, New Life Painting. Chuck founded New Life Painting in 1979. He enjoys camping with his wife in their fifth-wheel, golfing, surfing and hanging out with his family.
Chuck has been in the contracting business for more than thirty years and in working with homeowners through the years he has heard major complaints about their kitchen and bath remodels. While Chuck was managing New Life Painting, he had a client who was working with another contractor and was without a kitchen for nine months! He knows customers deserve better.
Armed with his hallmark enthusiasm and motivation to provide excellent service to customers, Chuck opened New Life Bath & Kitchen. His first job was to create a top-notch team of professionals who shared his goals of remodeling excellence and customer satisfaction. Next, he built a showroom to display custom cabinetry, beautiful fixtures and innovative design.
In the book Good to Great, the author says, “There is no substitute for good people. Having the right people in the right seats on the right bus is essential to having a successful company.” Chuck believes it is important to not only perform background checks and drug tests, but also personality profiles when hiring. New Life hires people who value their customers, family life outside of work and enjoy having fun. Chuck is proud of his team and the services they provide. It is his hope and goal to provide the best service, the best product and the best value to all their customers.
